Wildwood Dimension One Portable Spas

If you have a hot tub in your yard, you may not be getting the most out of this valuable piece of equipment. Hot tubs are luxurious and fun to have around, but they are also a great lifestyle enhancement. Using your portable spa to create a healthier, better life is a natural extension of the lavish atmosphere it creates.

Here are three ways personal hot tubs create a healthier lifestyle for you and your family.

Soaking in a Hot Tub Makes Workouts Less Painful

When you work out strenuously, lactic acid builds up in the muscles. That’s what causes pain the day after a workout. In some cases, that pain can be severe, and even make it difficult to get through the day. With a hot tub, you have a source of instant pain relief without medications that won’t cause drowsiness, and will give you the ability to move ahead with the day. T

The warm water reduces swelling and helps trigger the release of lactic acid in the muscles. While the powerful massage jets of your hot tub work out kinks and soothe soreness in the joints. Just ten to fifteen minutes in your hot tub at the beginning of the day can make you feel great and make you forget all about that workout pain.

This is just one of the great ways a portable spa improves your physical wellness. It also helps lower blood pressure and reduces swelling and pain from injuries, joint illnesses such as arthritis or painful diseases like fibromyalgia.

Relaxing in a Portable Spa Reduces Stress and Promotes Lower Blood Sugar Levels

Your hot tub offers the solitude for relaxation and stress relief, but it goes much further. The massaging jets release endorphins, the natural hormones your body has to reduce stress and feel good.

The warmth of the water increases blood flow to all of the major organs, and creates passive heating that improves metabolic health, even reducing blood sugar levels in people with Type II diabetes. The New England Journal of Medicine published a study showing that hot tub therapy was able to help a group of people with Type II diabetes lower their blood sugar levels dramatically.

Hot Tubs Help You Sleep Better

Soaking in your hot tub for 15 to 20 minutes at night (or before going to bed at any time of the day) will help you get to sleep faster and sleep better all night. For the best results, the hot tub should be between 102 and 104 degrees, a hot setting, but you won’t be soaking for long at that level. The idea is to help the body reset its temperature regulator.

Elevating the internal temperature for a short period of time, then cooling down for between 30 minutes to an hour, creates the perfect atmosphere for rest and relaxation. Soaking in a hot tub also reduces stress levels, and helps the body release endorphins to feel good, which provides even greater benefits for a better night’s sleep.
