O’Fallon Dimension One Portable Spas
Hot tubs are more than just pretty yard additions. Certainly, a hot tub on the patio or in the backyard will add an air of luxury to your property, and extend the living space of your home, but can do much more than that. There are many physical, mental and even social benefits to soaking in your own portable spa.
Here are three ways to relax and enjoy your hot tub.
Soak Nightly for a Better Night’s Sleep
Nightly soaking in a hot tub will help you relax and prepare your body for a good night’s sleep. According to the National Sleep Foundation, soaking in a warm, hot tub or portable spa can also relieve symptoms of RLS (also known as restless leg syndrome), a major cause of sleep disorders. The warmth of the hot tub water helps regulate the body’s temperature. Soaking just 15 minutes about an hour before bedtime prompts your system to turn on its regulator, and cool down for a good night’s rest.
Relax in Your Hot Tub Daily for Stress Free Emotional Health
Stress is a serious issue that everyone encounters on a daily basis. People tend to think of stress as the big, life-threatening problems that scare them and are dangerous. While those are definitely stressful issues, the real stress killers are the little things that are constantly bombarding our senses.
Regularly soaking in your hot tub can help you fight depression from stress, heart disease and even obesity. Soaking in the soothing, warm water of a hot tub releases the body’s natural hormones for well-being and happiness: dopamine and oxytocin.
In addition, the well-placed massage jets work out tension from the muscles and help release the lactic acid that builds up throughout the day. It isn’t just the heat and the jets that help the body reduce stress though. Just soaking in the water is beneficial and creates a higher sense of well-being. The buoyancy of the water creates a stress-free environment for the muscles and joints immediately upon sinking into it.
Use Your Hot Tub to Improve Social Well-Being
Hot tubs are alluring and immediately draw people to them. Invite friends and family over to get everyone actively engaged and involved in conversations easily and in a comfortable setting. A portable spa in the yard is a great way to get teens to open up too. It can be difficult for teenagers to open up and put their problems into words, especially with the adults in their lives no matter how loving and caring the home is. A hot tub creates a calm, peaceful and relaxed environment for parents and kids to talk about difficult issues and enjoy each other’s company.
Hot tubs also make a great place to host a work party. Getting to know co-workers in a relaxed, stress-free environment helps broaden your social circles and make friends out of daily acquaintances. Just make sure there are extra towels and slippers for friends and family who visit and forget to bring their own. That makes it easier for every one to get involved and have fun without worry or fear of missing out.
